This would be a very difficult fold.

I heard someone once say, "Never lose all your chips in an unraised pot" So maybe this is why?

Sounds like you played it right, but how much did he raise preflop? That would be th only sign you might have.

If he called a raise with Q6 he played the hand badly. Position people position!

Sounds like the guy with KK limped. Was it a super tight table? It would of been hard to put him on the K's if he limped. Anyway it happens. Sounds like he was slow playing you and led you into a trap. He ran the risk of a bad flop by slow playing but as it turned out someone had a hand (you) but he had the better of it. This is the kind of hand we all want in our cards not the opponents. One other thing is I might have put him on a Q with a better kicker on the flop or QK with the action the way it was and him limping, but I understand that you hit your boat and it was hard to lay down. Better luck next time...

It does seem as if this player limped with the KK, which could have raised suspicion. That old limping in looking for the raise. Depending on the blind levels and the position of the limper it could have been possible to put him on a bigger Queen - say KQ. It's a very difficult fold at best. I would have probably bet the flop and would have been suspicious of a flat call. Or I might have raised him again on the turn and scrutinized his reaction to my raise...If he pushed again, I would have probably had to fold. It sucks balls when you have to play a hand like that out of position.

Tough hand for sure and all the comments were real good definately means alot to know what or how table was playing before hand if you were new to the table that be hard to fold ,I think you made a good choice in holdem and poker in general you can't win em all and luck does play a part in the outcome either way you done well only thing i can say is depending on the players and table meaning who or how they or it was before hand some players i know i'd fold to just because i have learned their stlye somewhat anyways best of luck in your games and take care all

Did you get in the hand for the blind or was the pot raised? I think I would have had to bet the flop to see where I stand. The turn min bet gives you no info. If you bet the pot there you can get a real fill for what the other player has. That might give you the info you need to make a really tough fold.

This post is so crazy. The more I read everything the more I feel like it is an easy fold. The more I try to convince myself that it is an easy fold the more I think that I would have probably been all in too. Then I am thinking this is an easy fold, I would be so suspicious, then I am thinking wha the hell, I'm all in, then I am like...

So as of now when I read Jim's last reply, it's an easy fold. So please someone come back and tell me that it would be okay for me to be all in again, I hate my money.

:) Manntagonization

P.S. maybe I wouldn't fold but lose less?

What i'm thinking if you bet the pot on the flop they will stack off then and you might be able to get away from the hand there if you can put the hand together from what you have seen from them earlier in the game but this is gonna be a real feel call or fold I think you would just have to be there to really know how to play it.

I think you could bet suspiciously small and basically not find yourself all in. In a way you have to think, "what's up with the call?" Why the flat call on the turn. This is a case of you are only getting called if you are beat and if you're playing out of position, it's trouble.

I find that I always seem to get called by a better hand when I am on the blinds. Doyle Brunson is quoted as saying, "I hate losing all my chips in an unraised pot" I hope this was the case.

I still think you got to pot it on the flop to see where you stand with this small kicker I am really thinking I am out kicked if I get a call here and it will save my for going broke later in the hand. On this board you need to find out where you stand very early and not let the hand get to the river before you know. The more I think about it the all-in just stinks to high heaven lay it down and move on to another hand where you don't start out with such a weak kicker. If they are pushing so hard you are beat.

Because this pot was unraised or at least we are hoping it was unraised, if you bet after the flop you will only get called by someone who has something, unless the opposing player was a complete maniac you are probably beat. Unfortunately there are few hands that have you beat on the flop, but I agree one may not have to lose all their chips on this hand, they could lose some or a lot, but one doesn't have to lose all.

I am taking out the paddle to rap this post in the butt one more time to see if it is still alive.
