ok i dont normally like telling bad beat stories unless theyre is some new quirk to them. for the most part i think it is always the same story. you were supposed to win and you diddnt.
moving on.. this is a great story and thegobfather is gonna laugh when he reads this because i told him this story before and we often joke about it.
so i am at foxwoods on night about 2 years ago and i am playing 1 2 no limit. i have run my three hundred dollar buy in into almost a thousand. i am getting ready to quit soon. i pick up queens under the gun and limp. a player two ahead of me who is a regular thinks for a second and then raises to 20. the star of this story is on the button, a young gentleman who looks as if he escaped from a mental institution and plays like it, reraises to an outrageous 160. now i know some would say wow that seems scary, he might have a monster. what you have to understand is i had this maniac clocked and was not in the least worried. for a second i worried about my other opponent so i decided to flat call. my other opponent thought for a while and finally disgustingly mucked his hand. i discovered later he had jacks which is the other component of this bad beat.
so we see the flops and my wacky buddy has a little over 400 left. the flop comes :qd::tc::2h: i decide to make an intresting play that i know might work against this maniac but i would hardly every try against anyone else. i am first to act and tell him i am putting him all in. he proceeds to stand up and shake his head and talk to himself in a loud screechy, saying things like "really buddy?" " i think ur bluffing, youve got nothing!!" he then sits down and with a lunatic smile yells" i got ya, i call" i calmly turn up my set. he fumes and turns up..... pocket nines. the turn comes an eight and the river is of course a disgusting jack to give him a queen high straight. at this point he literally leaps onto his chari and yells at me " take that sucka, take that! in your face in your face" at this point i literally burst into laughter and left table soon after after gainig back a decent portion of my winnings from same fellow. i always remember that beat cause it still makes me laugh at how nutty this fellow really was. hope you enjoyed it guys gl in the future
