So I was playing pretty wild at the casino the other day. Imagine ya boy Manny get people on tilt.

The $1/2 Holdem table I was at was very aggressive with lots of people bluffing like madmen and women, playing poker on the come, betting draws, etc. yeah including me, just acting a fool ya know.

Some of the pots were way to big for no reason, I had 99 on the button, I raised to represent a real hand to about $12 I think and got four callers the SB included. With an ace on the flop it gets checked to me and I bet, something like half the pot. There is pretty much no draw out there so I’m suspicious, but four aggressive players just checked to me. After my bet the small blind flat calls.

The turn brings a low diamond now making two diamonds on the board heads up small blind checks to me so I send in the same amount again. River is a 9 giving me the set, my opponent checks again so I deliberate and push all in. The guy calls and flips over AQ he starts going nutz and says stuff like you bleeping moron, donk, Manny looking fool and both of us get a warning from the pit boss, I didn’t do anything the boss just gave me a warning to calm down the situation.

This guy butchered this had in many ways, I just think it’s funny that I get accused of being a nutty player when I’m getting the hand checked to me twice. What do you think should have happened in this hand? I like the result, but it just has been driving me mad thinking who played worse, him or me?

I dunno man. You were insane to be sure. But I say he played it like a buck oh two IQ. Better to be crazy than stupid any day. Deserved what he got after the turn. IMO

Sounds like you played the hand just right I can't imagine this guy not re-raising after flopping aces he gave you every opportunity to beat him and you did well done man!!!!!!!

Thanks for the replies. Do you think my bet on the turn was bad? That has been the part messing with me. I bet the same amount like I was trying to extract chips, like I had the ace and wanted the call, but I didn't obviously. I also think if the guy leads on turn or on flop, I'm out and if he check-raises anywhere too. I hit a two outer, but his trap went bad, you guy would be surprised, I may run my mouth off now and then but at the poker table, I'm pretty chill.

I think the reason I'm all freaked about this hand is because I bet the turn. I could have made a better bet there or no bet at all.

I think it was a good valve bet you had no reason to think you were beat up to then unless they were just playin a stone cold monster super slow. Rejoice they gave you the chance to win and you do. Toss um a cryin towel and stack your chips.

Haha. That's cool. Sometimes I think players judge me by my looks when I play poker live. It's weird to me that this guy went so crazy, I thought he ws going to check raise me on the river and I pushed all in, I think that freaked him.

Given the response here, I think he totally misplayed the AQ. He pretty easily could have made me fold on any street really.
