What is your favorite poker show and why? I like Poker After Dark best, because I feel this shows poker in its purist form. There isn't always non stop action, some of the hands are pretty regular and occasionally you get that big huge hand that takes place.

I like Poker After Dark as well. It has that real poker room feel. Well as real as you can get on TV. The "boring" bits where players are just folding and there's no table action can give you a good incite into how to glean tells from your opponents. Poker isn't all shouting and standing up from your chair - all-in madness.

Love this and thanks for saying it.

As for me, I don't have a favorite show, as I don't see much on Broadcast T.V. I have seen Poker After Dark once, and it seemed cool. I'll have to see if I can't find some clips on YouTube.

Poker is not the WWE, although sometimes it seems to have that Mardi Gras atmosphere when the WSOP comes on ESPN, it's serious business. Poker is 90% boredom and 10% anxiety. I can be a very animated person, but I leave that alone when I play the game. However, everyone can get emotional when they win or lose. Emotion in poker and sports is part of it. I'm the first to be entertained by some of the table talk and things like that. Occasionally I do respond with a witty quip here and there, but I'm rarely the one starting the trash talk.

I like to refer to the 90% boredom to the first hour and 1/2 of a MTT. You have to know how to get through that time and win some chips in the process. After that is when things get excited and your starting to bump elbows.

I've always felt that if I ever made it to a final table of a big tournament I would be gracious and reserved. However you never know, I could end up being chatty and unnaturally perky and upbeat...:D

For me, I think it might be better to be more open than tight at a final table. I think the openness and not being to cocky would work.
