I'm making this post on a laptop that is hooked up to the internet through a Blackberry. The upload and download speeds are minimal (actually laughable), but of course I've opened up a few of my poker clients such as Absolute Poker, Pokerstars, Full Tilt and Easy Play Poker.
It works fine with them. Here's the reason, the poker software is on my hard drive (naturally) but the information being sent through the Blackberry internet connection is encrypted data only. So the speed while playing is pretty much the same. Occasionally there are some slow periods but it's not much of a factor.
So here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to drive to Atlantic City, NJ even though I live 25 minutes from Foxwoods and see if I can win my gas money and hotel room on the trip down. It should take me about 5 hours and if I don't stay at the Borgata well then it might be easier. But I have to admit this opens up some interesting ideas for me when playing online! Screw it, I'm staying at the Borgata.
