If luck exists I will most graciously accept it but give me some hard fought, carved out pots and I'm grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat.

I think some players rely on luck more often than skilled. What are some instances where you think players rely more on luck than skilled?
Do you think a player risking it all on the river to hit flush is a luck play?

Any player that let's anxiety or fear dictate their play and then finds themselves all in is playing for luck, not with skill. I don't think risking it all to hit a flush is just luck, especially if one puts their chips in first. Luck has nothing to do with the outcome of the hand. It may appear to be luck, but it's called variance.
Variance or luck can and will be the determining factor in poker. It is not the controlling factor. Meaning if you put your chips in with proper pot odds and hit or miss the flush, it's not luck. There are players that don't realize that they don't have proper odds to call or raise etc. These players make crazy calls and play badly. When the flush hits, they don't know the difference between variance (luck) and skill. They'll keep doing it and doing it.
Because of the fact that they are capable of this call or play and not know how bad it is for their game and then don't research how and why it's wrong. They will be only unlucky and unskilled.
So if we use unlucky as a paradigm for comparison. It really turns into unskilled not unlucky; therefore one can't say that someone is lucky and unskilled. However you can appear to be a winner who is lucky and skilled not lucky and unskilled.
Wow! Hope that makes sense.

I think more player rely on the odds or percentages than luck. Some players think 50/50 odds or coinflip is good enough to risk their chips.

Just remember that luck implies that there is some other force than math acting upon the hand. Just because you see a 70/30 hand get beat by the hand that has 30% to win doesn't mean the player got lucky. Over time they will win 30% of the time with those hands and you will win 70% of the time with yours. Even if a player wins those hands 32% of the time for a year, they're not lucky just ahead of the curve in variance. If they continue to play, the average result will be 30%. But I sure do know it seems lie it never works this way.
