I know that some of our members play home games where they pretty much know their opponents. However at a casino or online it can be much different. I play at a casino where sometimes, I've played against 7 or 8 of the other 9 players at the table.

Is this a situation you relish and for what reasons? Or do you prefer to play against people with whom you have no prior knowledge?

I like playing against players, with whom I have some prior knowledge. However there can be a downside to this. They have prior knowledge of my game too. How would you combat this and do you believe that it is a more fertile environment for you to make money?

Yep this is the game you want to know the other players sure they will change up to try to throw you off there game but you just got to keep up it is like drivin a 69 firebird around a curvey drit backroad just keep shiftin gears and try to stay ahead of everbody else. The person that can see the road or game ahead of them and stay up front will win the race.

I think a healthy mix of both knowing your opponents and not knowing them is optimum.

If you're good at learning people's tendencies faster than your opponents, you can definitely exploit them quicker than the other players at the table. This will give an advantage over the players you know and don't know. I always love new blood at the table, I like to see how they handle that first loss. In the live setting it's fun to watch them turn bright red or sweat. :) !!!
