ok everyone i would like to discuss who are the players we like, admire, want to play like, or just find friggen hilarious. i have more than a few and several of them i have met, either by dealing to them or playing with them at one point or another.
ok to start my all time favorite is the late, great, stu "the kid" ungar. this guy is hands down the greatest player of all time. if you dont beleive this read up on him and check his results. he is one of the few players, maybe the only one who seemed to be able to win at will. if not for his addictions, people would have seen how great he could really be. he had five bracelets, three of them from the main event. one was from a stud event in which he beat out bobby" the owl" baldwin, who is known as a phenomenal stud player. i could go on but anyways he is my number 1 fav. as for other players here is a short list of people i like and in future posts i will explain what each of them has that i admire.
daniel negraneu, layne flack, allen cunningham, mike matusow, dan harrington, and the amazing and lovely jen harmon. ok guys hope you like this post and cant wait to hear your replies.. until next time.. unless your bill smith... dont drink and play!

This is an inside joke that the Unluck Box and PokerGobette will get...sorry to all...but my favorite player is "Asian Jay" at Foxwoods...haha...one of the most creative 7 Card Stud Players I have ever seen...My favorite player is Scotty Nguyen...I think the best Hold'em player is Phil Hellmuth, I admire him for is business sense in Poker as well as his accomplishments. From what I have seen I emulate Erick Lindgren the most. I am aggressive when I need to be and I am not afraid to gamble. Although I am known to be a pretty tight player...I make solid reads and every once in a while some loose calls when I switch gears and mix it up, just like Erick. I also find myself playing a lot like Action Dan Harrington. So I would have to say I am a mixture of those two...I have great respect for Greg Raymer and Chris Ferguson...

My other favorite players are people who go all in with :jc: :2s: beause they thought it was suited and/or it's their lucky hand.

I like to watch daniel negreanu play. I like the fact that he can sit down at a table and make read after read of his opponents hands in a professional way. I don't dispute Hellmuth for his poker playing but don't like his trash talk. Me personally I dont think it is necessary in a "gentlemen's" game. Too many times i've seen him boast about how well he played on his way out leaving the tournament. And too many times he bashes his opponents for their play. To each his own I guess.

I think Phil Ivey is sick to watch. Kathy Liebert plays amazingly. The UniBomber is a blast to watch for his outrageous behavior. Jennifer Tilly is playing very well, sure Phil has been coaching her.

A bunch of others, but those come to mind after reading this thread.

aisian jay!!! got a great aisian jay story from the last time i played with him. we were playing 1 -3 stud and the table slowly broke and we decided to play three handed. i got the 2 of hearts for the force and peered down at two lovely black aces in the hole! i raised the force and jay who has a ten of clubs in the door says " i beat aces all the time. RAISE! . the other dude drops out, and we cap it. jay immediately gets a ten on four. " HA HA!" he exclaims and fires. i immediately show my aces and fold. he shows me the three tens, busrts into laughter and scoops the pot, and proceeds to put me up for the next four hands. i love that guy he is classic!!

"Asian Jay" is so crazy...but the one thing you can learn from him is that he doesn't complain about being beaten. He is a very good sport and actually has incrdible reads and creativity. I think he overplays a lot of hands. But if he toned it down, he could be an excellent player...but right now he lacks the discipline to be a consistent winner. HE IS A COMPLETE RIOT and always enjoyable to play with...I love taking his money.
