There is so much more to poker then waiting for a good hand to go all in with. What happened to you that you feel you were "donked again"? So many people who play poker use this term so loosely, I find that under certain circumstances it is not as bad as they make it out to be.

For example, the player who "waits for a good hand" has shown the tendency to be "all in" with hands that aren't worthy of being "all in" in the first place.

This post probably will end up in the bad beat section, but also could end up in the tournament strategy section on how not to play a hand.

There is no hand pre flop worth risking your tourney life via an all in. also general rule of thumb is you dont go all in unless u have the nuts. You may have the nuts pre flop, but boy that changes qwik!

i disagree honestly, i'm sure you caught that already, when you smell shit, theres defitnly a bumb hand around, i called with a two pair ace and king, when flop was A 10 8 J K, theres a straight out there right, someone defitnly has the queen right, no i risked my tourny life on the two pair, the all in had 2,4 off suit, point is theres bum ass bum's out there you just have to be able to say f you once in a while, ?

This thread is right on the nose. There are so many hands and so many people online with anonymous names. I get donked allot as I am sure we all do. It is just going to happen there are allot of bums out there that think it's funny to bust you with a seven two. They lose their money in the long run but don't seem to care. They are just there to have their brand of fun, which is usually donking people to get their jollies. I think this is one reason online poker is getting such a bad rep. Some look at it like cheating (as how could he have known 7's and 2's were gonna flop?) others as a site scam that encourages bum hands by dealing them out the most. But the truth is that there are allot of strange and crazy people online there just to dish out their BINGO play and not poker. It can be disheartening because there allot of them out there. So what do we do about it? That is for each player to decide for themselves..

I say keep up the class, play your best.. know what your best is, keep learning the game... respect the ones that are doing the same, recognize the difference between luck and skill in your hands and others, shake it off the best you can (blog, post, grumble get it out before you go back) and just keep respect for yourself by playing the best you can...and respect those who earn it

Yes play with respect for yourself first and play at a high level and the donks won't be able to catch you.

Learn to watch other players hands when your not in that hand first of all. The key here is observation.

Second. AA, AK, AQ...doesn't guarantee you an automatic win of a hand. There are no guarantees in poker.

Third. It's my belief that most donks call thinking the other person is bluffing. Or how about this. There are so many hands every minute. I have called all-ins by accident, when I was trying to fold and hit the wrong button. I have suck out and won hands by accident this as well as lost.

You are never going stop having bad beats or getting so called "donk"

Think of how many people start playing poker each day. That's a lot of newbies. A lot of people calling hands and not knowing what they have.

Take it as it comes and keep your ball rolling or let it eat you up and affect your playing.

2 day's ago i have play in chipsstar tourney...and i have finish at 240...because i have get an usualy donkey...i have in hand As Js...blind whos 500-1000 ...i have raise at 3500...all of guys are fold..but the donkey have call....flop whos....4d4s8s...i have check..and the idiot go all in ...with 23k chips..i have 22k and i have call...because i have need a S to get flush...when the fish show the card's have 77 in the hand...next 2 card's on the river...kd2c And The DOnkey have win! What do u think four this move? i have play badd? or i whos unlucky?

Wow, you risked your whole tournament life on a a spade draw with a paired board and call your opponent a donkey and fish. You have lost the right to call other players donkey and a fish... As a matter a fact whatever gave you the right to call a player names in the first place.... I hate this play and I think this is one of the worst replies to a thread I have seen in a long time... You got outplayed, the Pocket Sevens made a pretty crazy un-callable bet and for you to criticize their play when you were the caller is just despicable...

Had this reply contained the same information without berating or belittling the other player's play and it didn't have all the name calling, I would have been more serious with a more helpful reply. Sorry to all GobHeadz, this kind of stuff gets on my nerves.
