WiPHOF - The Women in Poker Hall of Fame
Posted On 02/01/2008 06:12:23
The Women in Poker Hall of Fame by Binion's Casino is opening on Saturday February 2, at 11 a.m. also known as "WiPHOF." Mike Sexton will host the WiPHOF opening ceremony. Marsha Waggoner, Linda Johnson, Barbara Enright, and Susie Isaacs are the first four women honored that day for their contributions to the poker world.

Notably, Barbara Enright began playing poker in card rooms in 1976. She holds 3 World Series of Poker Bracelets, and is distinctively known for being the only female player ever to make it to the final table of the WSOP main event. In 2007, Enright was the first woman to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.

Poker Life
Posted On 12/25/2007 16:42:41
Recently my life has become poker and more poker. I play poker for a living along with operating several online internet businesses.
So this blog, with the very original title, "Poker Life", will be about my life. Well, my poker life at the very least, with a few other choice morsels tossed in for good measure.

It's Christmas and I've decided to give one day to myself and not play poker, although I managed to donk off $10 yesterday on UltimateBet. A freebie that Ultimate tempted me with to start playing online again but I'm too smart for that now. No more internet poker for I, I say.

Since starting to play live, I realise that playing online can be a little boring to say the least. The live experience is much more enjoyable. Seeing other players, literally twitching and itching when they're scared or have an enormous hand...Nice.

Playing on UltimateBet yesterday, I had this one plonker who started to heckle me and actually critique my play! lol This at the 25/50 cents pot limit omaha tables. I find this quite funny because of course, he was the worst player on the table! Also, is anyone trying to make money at the 25/50 cent table, because I always believed that it was a step away from the play money tables!   Only joking, of course. But I just believe that each player has their own style and who am I to judge! I know the odds and if a player on my table decides that they want to try and defy them, who am I to try and deter them? It can only mean more money for me, n'est-ce-pas?
